“With Rollstack, we are able to build one deck to review key company metrics with leadership that can be quickly refreshed each week directly from our analytics tool without having to log in, take screenshots, and pull each slide by hand. All we need to do is hit refresh and give the slides a final review before they go to leadership, saving us a lot of time and allowing our analytics team to spend more time on true analysis.”

The Challenge: A Two-Hour C-Suite Review Built on Screenshots

Socure is an identity verification and fraud prevention company with more than 500 employees. The Business Operations & Analytics team keeps leadership informed on how the business is performing. Its four-person Business Intelligence group owns the company's metrics and builds its dashboards in Tableau.

One of the most critical places that work shows up is the weekly business review (WBR), a two-hour meeting where about 20 contributors from six teams (marketing, sales, product, people ops, finance, and business operations) report to the C-suite.

But the last step, getting BI's numbers in front of leadership, was still manual:

  • Static screenshots: Analysts screenshotted the same Tableau charts for every review and pasted them into Google Slides, hundreds of visuals each time. Once a chart was pasted, it was a picture, cut off from the dashboard it came from.
  • Time spent on assembly: The team owned the deck, which meant chasing section owners for updates and rebuilding the same slides every cycle instead of working on what the numbers meant.
  • Sections without a dashboard: A few sections drew on team-owned spreadsheets rather than a BI dashboard, so they had to be updated by hand every cycle.

The Solution: Connecting Tableau to Google Slides with Rollstack

Socure brought in Rollstack to close that last mile, so the numbers leadership sees in the WBR come straight from the dashboards BI maintains, every cycle. Rollstack connects each chart in the Google Slides deck directly to its source Tableau dashboard, so the team built the deck once and never has to rebuild it. Every two weeks, the team makes a copy of the previous deck, and Rollstack pulls the latest Tableau data into every connected visual in one refresh.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • Live Tableau connections: Every chart in the deck is tied to the dashboard it came from, so any number in the WBR can be traced back to its source. The links carry over when the deck is copied, so every cycle starts from a working deck.
  • One-click refresh for hundreds of visuals: Rollstack updates every dashboard-backed chart at once, in the same format every time, with no screenshots and nothing retyped by hand.
  • More time for analysis: With Rollstack handling the charts, section owners spend their time explaining what the numbers mean and what's driving them, instead of assembling slides.

The Impact: Hundreds of Visuals in Minutes, and a Clear Path to Automating the Rest

The WBR now runs on the same governed data as the rest of Socure's BI stack. Leadership sees the numbers BI publishes, refreshed every cycle.

The measurable impact included:

  • Minutes instead of screenshots: A refresh covering hundreds of visuals now takes under 10 minutes, so the deck is ready for commentary almost as soon as the data is.
  • Volume without the manual work: In nine months, Rollstack updated roughly 4,700 visualizations and 1,400 slides for Socure, eliminating about 540 hours of manual screenshotting.
  • Extending automation to every section: Every section built on a BI dashboard now refreshes on its own, and BI is working with the remaining teams to bring their data into Socure's system of truth so those sections can be automated too.
