HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference 2027
The HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference 2027 runs March 10 to 12, 2027 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. The Healthcare Financial Management Association expects more than 600 healthcare finance and revenue cycle leaders for three days on AI in the revenue cycle, denial prevention, revenue integrity and workforce strategy.
It's a smaller, more focused event than HFMA's Annual Conference, and registration is limited to people from healthcare provider organizations. This guide covers the dates and venue, member and non-member prices with the January 20 price rise, the three tracks and who should take each, the hotel deadline, and whether it's worth the trip. It also covers what happens after you're back, when the denial and AR numbers have to show up in the deck leadership reads every month.
TL;DR
- The HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference 2027 is a three-day event for provider revenue cycle and finance leaders, with three tracks, a closing keynote by Cameron Atlas and up to 13.5 CPE credits.

What is HFMA?
The Healthcare Financial Management Association is a membership organization for healthcare finance professionals in the US. It runs conferences, education and certification, and the MAP initiative, which sets revenue cycle benchmarks (the MAP Keys) that providers use to measure their performance.
HFMA runs two big events in 2027. The Annual Conference, June 27 to 30 in Denver, draws more than 4,000 people across all of healthcare finance. The Revenue Cycle Conference is the smaller one, built only for revenue cycle work.
What is the HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference?
It's HFMA's yearly event for revenue cycle leaders at hospitals, health systems and physician groups. The 2026 edition was in Arlington, Texas; 2027 moves to Orlando.
Expect five kinds of content:
- Breakout sessions across three tracks, from kickoff breakouts on Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning.
- General sessions, including an opening session on Wednesday and Cameron Atlas's closing keynote on Friday.
- The MAP Awards on Thursday morning, recognizing providers that meet HFMA's revenue cycle benchmarks, followed by a winners' panel.
- A preconference workshop on Wednesday morning, as a $99 add-on.
- Executive Connections, a program of pre-scheduled vendor meetings for senior provider leaders, by application.
Who should attend the HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference 2027?
Registration is for leaders from healthcare provider settings. Go if you are one of these:
- Revenue cycle VPs and directors setting next year's priorities on AI, outsourcing and staffing.
- Patient access and patient financial services leaders working on front-end accuracy, prior authorization and collections.
- Denials and revenue integrity managers who want to know what's working for peers on prevention as well as appeals.
- Healthcare CFOs who want a focused read on the revenue cycle without the size of the Annual Conference.
- Revenue cycle analytics leads who own the dashboards and reports leadership reads.
If you work for a vendor or consultancy, you can't register as an attendee. HFMA directs business partners to sales@hfma.org.
HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference 2027 agenda overview
HFMA has published an agenda at a glance (Eastern Time, subject to change):
- Wednesday, March 10: preconference workshop and lunch (9:00 to 12:00, add-on), Executive Connections meetings (12:30 to 3:45), kickoff breakouts (4:00), opening general session (5:00) and opening reception (6:00 to 7:30).
- Thursday, March 11: breakfast, the MAP Awards and winners' panel (9:00 to 10:10), morning breakouts, an interactive session and a general session after lunch, afternoon breakouts and a networking reception (5:10 to 6:30).
- Friday, March 12: breakfast, morning breakouts (9:00 to 10:40) and Cameron Atlas's closing keynote (10:40 to 11:30).
Session titles weren't published when we checked. The content runs across three tracks.

Track 1: AI at Scale: Redesigning the Revenue Cycle
Moving AI from pilot to practice, redesigning workflows and the workforce around it, and the governance and trust questions that come with it. Best for revenue cycle VPs and analytics leads. Prioritize it if you have AI pilots running and need to decide what to scale.
Track 2: Denial Prevention, Revenue Integrity & Risk
The denial prevention gap, the shift from fixing denials to revenue integrity, the outlook for AR and bad debt, and payer policy including prior authorization. Best for denials and revenue integrity managers, patient access leaders and CFOs. Prioritize it if denial rates or AR days are the numbers leadership asks about.
Track 3: Workforce, Vendor & Risk Strategy
Remote work and onshore and offshore governance, staffing and upskilling for AI, change management and how to govern business partners. Best for revenue cycle VPs and patient financial services leaders. Prioritize it if you're rethinking outsourcing or staffing models.
Speakers to watch
HFMA has named one keynote so far: Cameron Atlas, a National Geographic Explorer, TEDx speaker and host of The Edge of Possible podcast. His closing keynote, "From Exploring the World to Challenging What's Possible", combines storytelling with live music. HFMA says more keynote speakers will be announced.
The MAP Award winners' panel on Thursday is the other session to plan around. These are providers that hit HFMA's revenue cycle benchmarks, describing how they did it.
Training and hands-on sessions
- Preconference workshop. Wednesday morning, $99 add-on, with lunch. The topic wasn't published when we checked. It's also what takes CPE from 11 to 13.5 credits.
- Revenue Cycle Cohort. A $99 add-on for cohort participation. HFMA hadn't published details when we checked.
- Interactive session. Thursday afternoon, after lunch.
- Team programming. Teams that register together get team-specific programming as well as the discount.
Expo, Executive Connections and networking
HFMA hadn't published exhibit hall details for 2027 when we checked. The main vendor program is Executive Connections: directors and above from provider organizations, with purchasing power or influence, apply to take eight 15-minute meetings with pre-scheduled vendors on Wednesday afternoon. Applicants pick at least five solution categories. HFMA says participants may be eligible for program benefits tied to completing the meetings, and those who don't complete them pay their own registration and hotel.
Networking is built into the schedule: an opening reception on Wednesday and a networking reception on Thursday evening.
Is the HFMA Revenue Cycle Conference 2027 worth it?
For provider revenue cycle leaders, yes. At 600+ people, it's small enough to meet peers with the same problems, and all three tracks are revenue cycle work. The member price of $574 before January 20 is modest for three days of content.
It's most worth it if you are:
- A revenue cycle leader deciding which AI pilots to scale.
- A denials or revenue integrity manager who wants peers' approaches to prevention.
- A smaller team that would get lost at the 4,000-person Annual Conference.
Choose the HFMA Annual Conference (June 27 to 30, 2027, Denver) instead if you need the whole healthcare finance agenda rather than the revenue cycle alone. If you work for a vendor, this isn't your event as an attendee.

Hotels and travel
The conference hotel is the venue itself:
- Rosen Shingle Creek: $269 per night, single or double, plus taxes. Book by February 15, 2027. No resort fee.
- The booking link comes with your registration confirmation, so register first. The group rate applies three days before and after the event.

- Watch for third-party offers. HFMA warns attendees about companies offering rooms that aren't part of the official block.
Getting there:
- Fly into Orlando International (MCO). The hotel is about 12 miles away, 15 to 20 minutes by car.
- There's no airport shuttle. Uber and Lyft are available. Brightline trains run from Miami to MCO.
- Theme parks: the hotel offers free scheduled transport to Universal and paid shuttles to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom if you stay on.

Practical tips for attendees
- Register before January 20, 2027. It saves $200 for members and $160 for non-members.
- Book the hotel right after you register. The link comes in your confirmation, and the deadline is February 15.
- Bring your team, and split the tracks. Use the grid above, and ask about the team discount.
- Apply for Executive Connections early if you're a director or above and are evaluating vendors.
- Get there for the Wednesday kickoff. The opening reception is the easiest networking of the week.
- Bring your numbers. Your denial rate and AR days make peer conversations far more useful.
- Stay for Friday morning. The closing keynote ends at 11:30, so book an afternoon flight.
- Plan the readout before you go. Decide what leadership hears afterward, and in what format. Our guide to executive reporting covers how to structure it.
Dress code
HFMA doesn't publish a dress code. Business casual is the norm at healthcare finance events. Orlando in March is warm, but meeting rooms are cold, so bring a layer.
Where Rollstack fits for revenue cycle teams
The Revenue Cycle Conference is about getting paid: fewer denials, cleaner claims, lower AR days, AI that takes on the repetitive work. When that work succeeds, leadership needs to see it every month: denial rates by payer, AR by facility, cash against target.
That reporting is often still built by hand. Someone exports from Power BI, Tableau or Excel, pastes into PowerPoint or Google Slides, retypes the figures in the commentary and checks it all before the meeting. With several facilities, markets or service lines, they do it once for each.
Rollstack automates that work. It builds the deck from your warehouses, BI tools and spreadsheets, including Power BI, Tableau and Excel. Ask for the report you need, and Rollstack pulls the data, builds the charts and drafts the slides in your own PowerPoint or Google Slides template, then refreshes them every cycle. Export to PowerPoint or Google Slides when you need to. One approved report can become one version per facility, market or service line. Rollstack's AI drafts the commentary from your data, and every number links back to its source.
"Our BI tool already exports to PowerPoint" is a fair objection. An export or an embedded page shows the dashboard as it is. It doesn't follow your template, write the commentary, or produce a version for every facility. That's the gap.
Equality Health, a value-based primary care network with more than 800 independent practices, hit that gap. "Until a few months ago, every account manager was manually building decks for 800 practices every month. Reporting was the bottleneck for everything else CS was trying to do," says Claire Zimmerman-Nichols, Chief Product and Technology Officer. Today each of its 800+ practices gets a personalized monthly review, built in Rollstack from Power BI. Read the Equality Health story.
Livestream, virtual access, and on-demand sessions
HFMA hasn't announced a livestream or virtual option for the 2027 Revenue Cycle Conference. Plan on attending in person; the Executive Connections meetings, workshop and receptions only happen on site.
